Make Sure a Motorcycle Rental in Las Vegas is Right for You Before Hitting the Open Road

Riding a motorcycle takes skill and coordination to ensure complete control. So, whether you are newish to motorcycle riding or getting back in the driver’s seat after many years bike-free, you will want to check in with yourself about a few important things before hitting the open road. Ask yourself if this is an activity you want to do alone, with a group or as part of a local tour. Be sure you’re comfortable with the area you’ll be riding in. And if you don’t own your own bike, there’s no better way to get moving than renting a motorcycle from a reputable rental company.

Think you are ready to kick a motorcycle adventure into gear? Before you go, here are some pre-trip reminders to make sure a motorcycle rental in Las Vegas is right for you.

Attitude is everything

It’s widely agreed that attitude is the most important thing about a rider. If you are cocky, impatient, irresponsible or rude, then you can singlehandedly ruin your own enjoyment, while at the same time putting other motorists at risk. Riding a motorcycle is like driving a car, except you do not get the same protection as you do in an enclosed vehicle. If you ride unsafely or end up in a collision, your injuries can be way worse.

Get your nerves in check

Like your attitude about riding, nerves play a crucial role in your ability to remain in control of a motorcycle. Being nervous means you are likely to overcorrect and fail to ride defensively due to fear. You’d think that being frightened will make you more observant of what’s going on around you, but it can actually cause you to only focus on the activity in front of your motorcycle, not all around. Figure out what is making you apprehensive as a rider before hitting the road on a motorcycle rental in Las Vegas.

Consider your health

There are many factors related to your physical and mental health that can mean the difference between your having the ability to ride safely and not being able to ride at all. First, consider physical problems like heart issues, poor eyesight and weak hearing. Ask your doctor if your condition makes it unsafe for you to ride. Or, maybe the day you plan to ride you’ve had one too many alcoholic drinks or you’re so tired you can’t keep your eyes open. Today may not be your day to ride.

Wear the right gear

When you rent a motorcycle from EagleRider, rest assured we’ll provide all the right safety equipment—including a helmet, gloves and goggles, as well as gear like cable locks and bag storage. However, it’s on you to wear protective clothing, sunglasses and sturdy boots.

10 reasons to travel by motorcycle

  1. Freedom and adventure

What better way to escape from the daily grind than by motorcycle? The feeling of freedom you get on two wheels is total, and riding doesn’t merely get you to the destination: it is the destination itself.

Not only because of being in contact with the wind, the sun, and the rain, it will be because you won’t feel closed in, because you are deciding your route yourself because it will be like floating on air. Riding a bike brings such a wonderful feeling of freedom, that it’s worth it just for that sensation.

Not to mention all the adventures you can have… a thousand and one!

  1. Ease of getting around

There’s no doubt that riding a motorcycle is very easy, more than an organized trip, than taking a bus, a train or your own car. You can move more freely because it’s easier to find parking and cross narrow roads, move through traffic jams, etc. Furthermore, you’ll get to your destination less stressed out than being in a car.

  1. Shared camaraderie

Motorcyclists often feel that they’re part of a larger community.

We share bonds that differentiates us from other worlds such as the car world. We generally try not to enter into rivalries. We just try to help each other out and make the route as pleasant as possible.

The riding sensation connects us to other bikers. We even have our own language to communicate, both by words and signs.

  1. Individualized throughout

It might seem contradictory, but having camaraderie and good vibes among the riders doesn’t stop the trip from being an individual experience the majority of the time.

We like getting together, going out with friends, but who hasn’t got on a bike and taken off alone? It’s a way of living in tune with ourselves, with nature and with the motorcycle.

  1. It keeps you young and active

Traveling by motorcycle is an activity that always keeps you active.

The social component is undoubtedly exciting, but so is the trip itself. Those who travel regularly seem to feel younger and are more open to what the world has to offer. It opens your mind and keeps you away from a sedentary lifestyle and routine.

  1. It improves your physical and mental health

Motorcycles can be incredibly good for your body and your mind.

Traveling by motorcycle is very healthy because we have to make an effort when riding and firing up our neurons. According to several studies, traveling by motorcycle is very healthy: it burns off calories, tones muscles, improves mental activity, cognitive functions of the brain, concentration, and reflexes.

There is no therapy that surpasses a motorcycle trip, it’s surely the best antidepressant in the world.

  1. You’ll stop being dependent

When you plan for a motorcycle trip you have to anticipate various factors so that you won’t have any problems during the trip.

On the motorcycle, you carry your cases, papers, a tent if you go camping, tools, a basic first aid kit, food, … whatever is necessary to be self-sufficient and for stopping where you want.

You’ll have a bit less comfortable, but you’ll gain in preparedness.

  1. You’ll take more advantage of the time

When traveling by motorcycle you can move more easily. If you want to get on an alternative route because you’ve discovered something halfway down the road, you can. If you have to move through a city with restrictions, it’s a lot easier. So, in the long run, this lets you make the most of your travel time.

  1. Improve your introspection

The self-determination or empowerment you get when riding a motorcycle helps you appreciate the simple things in life. So many hours on the road make you more in tune with yourself and with life in general. There is more time for reflection and contemplation.

  1. It’s fun! a sufficient reason

And lastly and perhaps the most important, we do have a lot of fun traveling by motorcycle.

That alone would be enough to decide to live out this experience. Riding a motorcycle is great fun, it offers you multiple options depending on your skills and the challenges you like.

If you want to live out the experience in another way, you can do it with Eaglerider, on our tours or on your own fully equipped motorcycle or you can even rent from the city you at from EagleShare. We can offer you several options, but you choose the route.

Here’s How to Stop Your Motorcycle from Backfiring

It can happen to anyone, but that doesn’t make it any less disconcerting and dangerous: motorcycles backfiring can be caused by a number of problems in Las Vegas, NV. Backfiring can emit flames or damage your hearing, so you should avoid it as much as possible.

What causes a motorcycle to backfire? Generally, backfiring occurs when there’s uncombusted fuel in the exhaust pipe—here’s how that can happen and what you can do to fix it:

  • Too much fuel: Your bike depends on a specific ratio of fuel and air to fuel the combustion process. If that ratio is off, you’re more likely to have a weak combustion process, and could damage your engine. This is sometimes referred to as “running rich.” If you have too much fuel in your cylinder, it’s almost always due to problems with the carburetor. Clean the carburetor and this issue should clear up. If not, take your motorcycle to the shop for your mechanic to look it over.
  • Too little fuel: Too little fuel is also a big problem. This is called “running lean,” and it’s often due to dirty carburetor jets. You’ll need to dismantle your carburetor and clean it in hot, soapy water to get rid of any gelled gasoline. Be sure to avoid using ethanol in your bike, as it’s terrible for carburetors.
  • Loose exhaust pipe: If your exhaust pipe is loose, it’s possible that the hot gas exhaust will be pushed through holes. This makes a loud backfiring noise, and can occasionally be dangerous. Tighten your exhaust headers and pipe with nuts and bolts.
  • Short exhaust pipe: If your exhaust pipes are short—under 12 inches—you’re bound to have backfiring issues. It may also be illegal in your area. While they might look “cleaner,” they usually don’t come with a baffle. This makes your bike a lot louder and prone to backfiring. Get a removable baffle if you don’t want to change your pipe length.
  • Intermittent spark: Sometimes your bike will only backfire in certain conditions, such as extreme weather or during certain maneuvers. If that’s the case, it may be due to a spark plug that won’t ignite all the time. Try to figure out when this occurs, then take your bike to the shop to have the experts fix it for you.
  • Incorrect timing: Finally, your engine’s timing may be off. The timing needs to be perfect in order to coordinate fuel supply, ignition and combustion. Depending on what kind of bike you have, the problem may be with mechanical, electronic or manual timing. Many riders find it easier to take their bike to the shop to figure out the root of these issues.

If your motorcycle is backfiring in Las Vegas, NV, don’t hesitate to take it in for repairs. Backfiring is dangerous to both you and your motorcycle, so repairs shouldn’t wait.

3 Reasons to Ride Off-road To Improve Street Riding

There comes a point in every motorcyclist’s riding when he or she reaches a plateau with their riding skills. This is a place where the rider feels comfortable with what they have learned in the past, but they recognize that with further training they could improve both their riding skills and safety performance while riding motorcycles. This is the perfect time to hop on an off-road bike and take a class learning skills on this type of machine. click here to check the motorcycle tours.

TRACTION IS KEY

Riding a motorcycle off-road gives a rider a whole different perspective on traction. Without the stickiness of rubber on asphalt, there is more variability in traction availability. Once you learn to be comfortable with it, this variable traction is actually a good thing and you can use it to your advantage because. You’ll react more instinctively when encountering different types of road surfaces whether you are riding on-road or off-road. You can do this by renting one of our Motorcycles to even test a new experience and add more skills/

When stopping roadside, you’ll also be a lot more likely to pull further off the shoulder when comfortable with two wheels on terra firma. This opens up more possibilities for stopping and well as being further away from the path of travel. You’ll also have a higher level of safety with better instinctive reaction should one of your wheels exit the pavement. Construction zones and steel-decked bridges will no longer be a problem, either. Riding through those knowing that the wobble of your wheels on gravel is perfectly normal and you’ll just ride it through.

KILLER CONTROL

When you develop your off-road skills you’ll not only learn about traction but also learn much more about handling a motorcycle. By practicing these skills on a smaller, more dirt oriented bike, you can learn the finesse of control and the limits of what the bike can do without risking your larger, more expensive street machine as well. Dirt bikes are very responsive machines and give immediate feedback, so you’ll actually feel what you are doing to a heightened degree.

Standing up on the pegs (on certain models) gives you more control over the machine, and teaches better balance and motorcycle handling skills. Using your weight in combination with your accelerator and brake will teach you the more finite points of control of a motorcycle. Plus, since while riding in dirt it’s so important to be constantly scanning the horizon for obstacles, you’ll develop a better sense of looking further ahead.

COMFORT ZONE

Developing a wider zone of comfort will help you in all aspects of your riding. There are generally fewer distractions in a dirt riding environment, which means that you can put 100% of your concentration into learning how to control the machine. When you learn to be comfortable on the widest variety of surfaces possible, that translates to being a better rider on the street.

Riding off-road also teaches riders about riding better lines. With less traction off-road, it’s important to ride the best line possible through curves and obstacles, something we don’t get to practice a whole lot riding on-road. When a rider learns to ride better lines off-road, those skills automatically translate to on-road riding. It’s better to learn those shills riding off-road at slow speeds rather than at high speed on the road.

When wearing the proper protective gear and riding the appropriate bike, off-road riding is very safe and fun. Starting with a training course gives riders an immediate sense of confidence, and then those skills can be practiced outside of the classroom setting. The skills that a rider learns on the street don’t necessarily translate to making him or her a better rider, yet those skills learned while off-road riding without fail help makes them better street riders. Just give it a try.

Is the Road King the Best Harley-Davidson Motorcycle?

how to decide

You might have heard a friend falling in love with a bike but doesn’t know if it can take him up in the mountains or survive a long, irritable and challenging trip. Until now, there were car rentals, real estate rentals and purchases,s and even coaster rental services available.

EagleShare is a Motorcycle rental company that offers you to directly contact the person you are renting your bike to or from. That’s pretty convenient. You can try a lot of bikes, different models, Harley, Indian, hertz, go on long trips, and pay cash only when you want the bike.

Primary considerations

But even then, you will still have some questions, queries you want answers to and jump to conclusions. Before you do that, let me tell you something, it’s normal to have your questions. Without them, you wouldn’t be able to judge your biking skills over time. Here are the primary considerations mostly common stated by the renters,

Total cost of ownership

Bikes are expensive; rentals are not. With that being said, you can consider renting a bike if you crave the biking experience. The total ownership costs will be $100 per day or less/more, depending on the bike’s edition. But if you buy one of the installments (unless you are filthy rich to pay half a million at once) the bike will cost you $500 per month.

So if you are barely tripping on your bike because of the rainy season, try renting one. It’s less expensive and doesn’t cater to any responsibilities that come following the care you need to provide.

Type of preferred riding

Although the choices are limited while choosing a rental, you can surely find the right bike that suits your convenience. For instance, you can go with a BMW for horsepower, or you can choose a Harley Davidson for a long traveling trip.

Lifestyle

If you are a rider, who wants to ride an automotive with long-term comfort, but faster than light speed, consider renting a bike. It will help you gain unimaginable experience; learn more about the bikes before you are ready to own one. Biking as a lifestyle is lucrative yet very risky if you live in a state that doesn’t have its own bike lane.

Secondary considerations

Probably the best idea will be to look at how you can give to nature. Buy a motorcycle, drown in monthly payments or rent one to save yourself from extra costs.

Riding a bike lessens air pollution. You are giving to nature through an automotive. What’s new?

There are bike tour services like EagleShare that offer a fully guided tour. In a city, you will be trying a bike, with a bunch of people who are probably telling you everything from a phone call or handed-map.

A Final Verdict

Riding a motortcycle is an unexplainable experience that almost everyone should try. But which bike still remains a question. Rent a bike, gain experience and return at your ease. Lesser costs, more sustainability to the traveling plan and enjoy the flexibility that comes with it.

Tips on How to Drive a Motorcycle in the Rain

Just because the weather is changing doesn’t mean that there aren’t still great opportunities to hit the open road on a motorcycle. Rainy weather can present a challenge for riders who aren’t used to wet road conditions, but it’s possible to ride a motorcycle safely in rainy weather by making a few simple adjustments. Keep reading for some tips for driving motorcycles in the rain.

Riding motorcycles in the rain: Our top tips

The rain can present a lot of challenges for motorcyclists, especially for those who don’t have a lot of experience driving in rainy conditions. The good news is that there are plenty of upsides to hitting the road in the rain—including getting the opportunity to experience scenery in a new light—and it’s possible to do it safely by putting a few simple tips into practice. Here are some of the best tips for driving motorcycles in the rain:

  • Wear the right gear: One of the most important things to do before riding a motorcycle in the rain is to make sure you’re equipped with the right gear. When it’s rainy outside, visibility tends to be lower, and that makes it much more difficult for drivers on the road to see motorcycles. To keep yourself safe, make sure to wear highly reflective gear that will ensure you’re visible to other motorists on the road.
  • Give yourself extra time for braking: In ideal weather conditions, motorcycle riders can bring a motorcycle from highway speeds to a stop in just a few seconds, but the time required to stop a motorcycle can increase significantly when conditions on the road aren’t as favorable. With that in mind, make sure to give yourself more time than usual for braking.
  • Go easy on transitions: Another one of the best tips for driving motorcycles in the rain is to ease into transitions between acceleration and braking. Instead of hitting the brakes or the accelerator suddenly, ease into it to give the bike plenty of time to transition. Braking and accelerating too rapidly can increase the risk that you will lose control of your motorcycle and wind up skidding or getting into an accident.
  • Take advantage of dry lines on the road: When cars drive in the rain, they often leave dry tire tracks behind them. Take advantage of dry lines on the road to maintain the best contact and traction possible between your motorcycle’s tires and the pavement.
